UKTC NI CLUBS NO LONGER IN MEMBERSHIP OF TANI
TANI - the Taekwondo Association of Northern Ireland is the recognised governing body for the practice of Taekwondo in Northern Ireland.
We've been around for 35 years, during which time have performed exceptionally well helping clubs in the province. We have achieved an establishment in the Northern Ireland martial arts circuit, with a notable recognition from Sport Northern Ireland.
" Starting is half the task"
WATCH OUT FOR:
The TANI Board wishes to inform all member clubs, member organisations, sport organisations and funding partners that the UKTC NI clubs are no longer in membership of TANI.
This is following the decision of the British Taekwondo Council to remove the UKTC from its membership.
For further information, please contact TANI Hon Secretary on
It was great news to learn that TANI had achieved the Foundation Level of the Equality Standard. We in TANI know we are inclusive. So it was really showing the Sport NI assessors how we are welcoming to all!

TANI in discussion with Disability Sport NI
Bertie Nicholson (NI Kyorugi Team Coach) met with representatives of Disability Sport NI to seek their support in growing Paralympic Taekwondo.
While always a plan of TANI to grow this aspect of competition it has been the announcement of Para Taekwondo being included in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games that has accelerated TANI's desire to produce Paralympic Taekwondists for the GB or Ireland teams for Tokyo.
So the sooner we start the beeter and we are encouraging all K40 (upper limb deficiences) to come along on Saturday 22nd October to Lough Moss Leisure Centre, Carryduff BT8 8HR at 11.30am to see and try Taekwondo
