1 Point for: Punch to the body or head.
2 Points for: Kick to the body.
3 Points for: Any kick to the head.
The competition area is typically a 10x10 meter square in international championships.
A continuous point system is utilized in ITF competition, where the fighters are allowed to continue after scoring a technique.
Full-force blows are not allowed, and knockouts result in a disqualification of the attacker.
At the end of two minutes the competitor with more scoring techniques wins.

Competitors wear head guards and body protectors, which have electronic sensors used in the scoring of points, groin, foot, hand, forearm and shin protection.

3 Points for: Kick to the head.
Additional point if a scoring spinning kick is used.
The competition area is typically a 8x8 meter hexigon in international championships.
A continuous point system is utilized in WTF competition, where the fighters are allowed to continue after scoring a technique.
Full-force techniques are allowed and at the end of three x two minutes the competitor with more scoring techniques or a knockout wins.
